wordpress Permalink not working

WordPress Permalink not working enenn through you enabled it from wordpress admin section >> Settings >> Permalinks.

On investigating for a long time I found that wordpress requires a rewrite  rules to be enabled in .htaccess file for Permalinks to work correctly.

Create .htaccess file in the installation directory of wordpress and add following rewrite rules.

<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>

RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
</IfModule>

Save exit file and now Permalinks should work fine.

Park domain url redirect to main domain

I have added park domain in cpanel and it works fine but on clicking on any link of park domain the url gets redirect to main domain, and instead of parkdomain it shows main domain into url.

Fix:

1) Delete park domain from cpanel and added it as addon domain.

2) Create index.php file into document root of addon domain and paste following code into it.

<FRAMESET ROWS=”*,0″ FRAMEBORDER=0 BORDER=0 FRAMESPACING=0>
<FRAME SRC=”http://maindomainname” NORESIZE>
</FRAMESET>

3) Save and exit.

Drupal Clean URL error

On enabling Clean URL in Drupal I get error “Your system configuration does not currently support this feature”

FIX: I have created a .htaccess file under the installation directory of drupal and added following code and it fixed my issue.

root@Server [~]# nano .htaccess

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !=/favicon.ico
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA]

Aslo verify that apache module mod_rewrite.c is enabled on server.

That’s all
